Arthur Britto
A software engineer by background, Britto was one of the original architects of the XRP Ledger, co-designing its consensus protocol alongside David Schwartz. He co-founded Ripple (originally OpenCoin) in 2012 with Chris Larsen, Jed McCaleb, and Schwartz, helping build the distributed ledger technology that underpins the company's cross-border payment network and its RLUSD stablecoin. After departing Ripple, he went on to co-found the XRP Ledger Foundation, a nonprofit focused on supporting the open-source XRPL ecosystem and its developer community.
