Agnostiq

Trained as a physicist, Goktas earned his PhD from the Max Planck Institute in Stuttgart under Nobel laureate Klaus von Klitzing, then completed postdoctoral work at the Weizmann Institute of Science and as a visiting researcher at the University of Toronto. He co-founded Agnostiq in 2018 to build enterprise quantum and HPC workflow software. The company's Covalent platform enables organizations to schedule and execute computationally intensive workloads across heterogeneous hardware, including quantum backends. Agnostiq raised $2 million in seed funding led by Differential Ventures.

MacGowan brings an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and operational experience from Bell Canada's graduate leadership program, where he worked across strategic and operational roles. He also served as a venture analyst at the Creative Destruction Lab, evaluating seed-stage science and technology companies. As COO at Agnostiq, he handles business operations and commercial strategy for the company's quantum workflow software platform.

Tham is the technical co-founder of Agnostiq, contributing to the engineering foundations of the Covalent workflow orchestration platform. He co-founded the company alongside Oktay Goktas and Elliot MacGowan in 2018, with Agnostiq focusing on making quantum and high-performance computing workflows accessible to enterprise users across heterogeneous hardware environments.
