Ilyas Khan
Khan studied at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and trained as a merchant banker at J. Henry Schroder Wagg & Co. He subsequently founded companies across finance, mining, and energy. In 2014 he founded Cambridge Quantum Computing, recognizing quantum software as the key enabler for a future quantum economy. Cambridge Quantum built leading capabilities in quantum natural language processing, quantum chemistry (tket), and cybersecurity. When Honeywell Quantum Solutions and Cambridge Quantum merged to form Quantinuum in 2021, Khan became founding CEO. He was the inaugural Chairman of The Stephen Hawking Foundation and is now Vice Chair and Chief Product Officer at Quantinuum.
