Jack Hidary
Hidary studied philosophy and neuroscience at Columbia University and was awarded a Stanley Fellowship in Clinical Neuroscience at the National Institutes of Health, where he applied neural network methods to fMRI brain imaging. In 2016 he founded a quantum technology group inside Alphabet, leading teams in AI and quantum technologies. When Alphabet spun out that unit as SandboxAQ in March 2022 — with Eric Schmidt as Chairman — Hidary became founding CEO. He is the author of Quantum Computing: An Applied Approach (Springer, 2nd edition) and leads the company's focus on post-quantum cryptography and AI-driven drug discovery.
