John Levy
Levy co-founded SEEQC in 2019, leading its spinout from superconducting-electronics pioneer Hypres—whose roots trace to IBM's superconducting program at the T.J. Watson Research Center—where he had served as executive chairman from 2012 to 2019. Earlier, he was a founding partner of L Capital Partners, a $185 million seed-stage venture fund, founding CEO of computer-vision pioneer ePlanet (backed by Interval Research and Intel), and a researcher at Paul Allen's Interval Research; he also chaired clean-energy company BioLite from 2010 to 2018 and served on goTenna's board through its 2025 acquisition by Forterra. He holds an A.B. from Amherst College and an MBA from Harvard Business School, and has guest-lectured at Columbia Business School for over 15 years. As CEO he has raised roughly $59 million, built SEEQC's NVIDIA partnership—joining Jensen Huang's fireside chat at NVIDIA's first Quantum Day in March 2025—and signed the January 2026 agreement to take SEEQC public via SPAC merger at a ~$1 billion valuation.
