William "whurley" Hurley
Hurley began his tech career at Apple in 1994, working in research and development before moving to IBM where he was appointed Master Inventor. He later became managing director at Goldman Sachs via the acquisition of his fintech startup Honest Dollar, and previously founded Chaotic Moon Studios. He launched Strangeworks at SXSW in March 2018 with $4 million in seed funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners to build the world's largest quantum computing developer community. He chairs the IEEE Quantum Standards Working Group, is the author of Quantum Computing for Babies, and co-built the StackOverflow quantum computing community.
