DJI

• Mavic series (consumer drones)

  Teleoperated compact quadcopter drones for personal and commercial aerial photography and videography use, featuring foldable arms for increased portability. Launched in September 2016 with the Mavic Pro, the series has evolved to include current models like the Mavic 4 Pro (released May 2025) with a 100 MP 4/3″ Hasselblad sensor, 360° "Infinity" gimbal, 51 min flight time, and omnidirectional obstacle avoidance. The Mavic 3 (announced November 2021) introduced a 5000 mAh battery for 46-minute flight times, dual wide-angle and telephoto cameras on the gimbal, and the O3+ transmission system with a 15 km maximum control range. The series spans consumer and enterprise variants, targeting photographers, content creators, and commercial operators.

• Phantom series

  Quadcopter unmanned aerial vehicles series developed by DJI. Considered the first commercially successful recreational drone, it introduced the modern aerial photography drone form factor to the general public. Models evolved from the Phantom 3 (April 2015) through the Phantom 4 (March 2016) and Phantom 4 Pro (November 2016), featuring professional 1-inch image sensors, 4K cameras, and multiple intelligent flight modes. The Phantom 4 added obstacle avoidance using four cameras and ultrasonic sensors, plus ActiveTrack and TapFly autonomous features. The series was discontinued, replaced by the Mavic 3 Pro.

• Mini series

  Compact quadcopter drones designed for personal and commercial aerial photography and videography, with all variants weighing under 250 grams to bypass drone registration requirements in most countries. Originally announced as the Mavic Mini in October 2019 as a replacement for the DJI Spark, the lineup has evolved through multiple generations. The latest Mini 5 Pro features a 1-inch CMOS camera, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, a gimbal with 225° rotation, and upgraded ActiveTrack 360°. DJI typically upgrades its Mini drones every two years.

• Air series

  Compact quadcopter drones for personal and commercial aerial photography and videography, positioned between DJI's smaller Mini and larger Mavic lines. Originally marketed as the Mavic Air before dropping the Mavic designation, the series progressed from lightweight foldable designs at 430 grams to dual-camera systems with wide-angle and telephoto cameras, each featuring 48 MP 1/1.3" CMOS sensors in the Air 3 generation. The October 2024 Air 3S upgraded to a 50MP 1-inch CMOS primary camera while maintaining compact form—724 grams with 45-minute flight time. Recent models add LiDAR for enhanced forward obstacle detection and nighttime flight safety.

• Inspire (cinema drones)

  Integrated cinema camera drone with full-frame 8K imaging system, Tilt Boost and 360° Pan dual configurations, dual-control powered by O3 Pro video transmission, centimeter-level RTK positioning, and 1/1.8-inch ultra-wide night-vision FPV camera. All-in-one 8K camera drone designed to empower professional-level filmmakers. Features DJI's Zenmuse X9-8K Air gimbal camera with CineCore 3.0, supporting internal recording of up to 8K/25fps CinemaDNG video as well as 8K/75fps Apple ProRes RAW video. O3 Pro transmission enables a transmission range of up to 15 km with one controller with 90ms ultra-low latency. Approved by Netflix for 4K Originals production in 2025.

• Matrice (enterprise drones)

  A compact and intelligent multi-sensor flagship drone series for enterprise industries, the Matrice line spans from portable foldable models to larger industrial platforms. The Matrice 4 Series, launched January 8, 2025, consists of two models (4T and 4E) equipped with smart detection and laser range finder measurement. The 4T suits electricity, emergency response, public safety, and forestry; the 4E targets geospatial applications like surveying, mapping, construction, and mining. The 4E features a mechanical shutter enabling 0.5-second interval shooting for rapid mapping, while the 4T integrates thermal imaging for night vision and powerful night capturing. Built-in AI detects vehicles, vessels, and subjects during search and rescue. Older lines like the Matrice 30, 350 RTK, and 400 offer larger payloads and longer flight times for different mission profiles.

• Agras (agricultural spraying drones)

  Foldable octocopter and hexacopter spray drones with tank capacities ranging from 10 to 100 liters and multiple interchangeable spray nozzles. DJI Agriculture was established in 2015 with the mission to bring innovative drone technology to farming, after DJI began investing in spray-drone R&D in 2012. Designed to deliver precise spraying, spreading, and mapping powered by RTK positioning and AI route planning. Over 600,000 DJI agricultural drones were in use globally by the end of 2025. Entry models like the MG-1 weigh under 25 kg and carry 10-liter tanks, while the flagship T100 carries a 100-liter spray tank and 150-liter spreader.

• Osmo / Ronin (gimbals and cameras)

  Motorized camera stabilization gimbals and digital movie cameras spanning consumer to professional segments. Ronin-SC is a 3-axis stabilizer for mirrorless cameras, while the Ronin S was the first Ronin to incorporate the popular single-hand form factor and gained ergonomics that became common across the Ronin lineup. Osmo Pocket is a pocket-sized camera + handle for easy filming—essentially a camera, selfie stick, and tripod all at once. The Ronin 4D is the first complete cinema camera integrated into the Ronin series, merging gimbal technology onto a camera body with an iso-elastic Z-axis arm. The Osmo Mobile series is a 360° handheld gimbal compatible with almost every smartphone.

• Avata (FPV drones)

  Palm-sized FPV cinewhoop drone announced in August 2022 as DJI's first FPV cinewhoop. The quadcopter weighs only 410 g (14 oz) and has built-in propeller guards. Equipped with a 48MP 1/1.7" CMOS sensor supporting 4K video at 100 fps with an ultra-wide 155° FOV. Transmits Full HD 1080p video to goggles at up to 100 fps with 30 ms latency. The cinewhoop design with protected propellers enables close-up indoor filming near people and through small openings without risking damage or injury.
