Dor Skuler

Co-Founder & CEO

A serial entrepreneur who has co-founded five ventures, Skuler served as an officer in Israel’s elite military intelligence unit 8200 before earning an MBA and MSc in Marketing from Temple University. He joined Alcatel-Lucent as SVP, where he founded and led Cloudband, the world’s first platform for Network Functions Virtualization — a venture Nokia later cited as a major motive for acquiring the company. Prior to Intuition Robotics, he also served on the board of ClearPath Networks. The idea for ElliQ was sparked by his grandfather’s loneliness after losing his spouse, prompting Skuler to build an AI companion that is deliberately non-humanoid. He has publicly argued against creating robots that "fool us into thinking the AI is human," instead favoring a collaborative, appliance-like form factor for older adults.

Itai Mendelsohn

Co-Founder

Co-founded Intuition Robotics in 2015 alongside Dor Skuler and Roy Amir. Prior to this, served as VP R&D and product management of the CloudBand business unit at Alcatel-Lucent, where he led the technical development of the company's cloud and NFV platform for telecom service providers. His background in large-scale software infrastructure and cognitive computing informed Intuition Robotics' technical approach to building ElliQ — an AI-powered companion robot designed for older adults that combines natural language interaction, proactive engagement, and emotional awareness. Roy Amir

Co-Founder

Prior to co-founding Intuition Robotics in 2015, Amir was VP Product Management & Strategy at Alcatel-Lucent, where he helped build and lead the CloudBand business unit from inception through to its eventual acquisition by Red Hat. Earlier roles included product and strategy positions at Nokia, BT, and Symbian. He holds an MBA from the College of Management and studied at Ben-Gurion University and Cass Business School.
