Sehat Sutardja
Earned a B.S. in electrical engineering from Iowa State University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering and computer sciences from UC Berkeley in 1985 and 1988. Began his career as an analog circuit designer at Micro Linear and Integrated Information Technology, building chips for hard disk drives and digital video. Co-founded Marvell in 1995 with his wife Weili Dai and brother Pantas Sutardja. Served as President and CEO, growing Marvell into a multi-billion-dollar chipmaker covering storage, networking, and communications silicon. Holds more than 350 U.S. patents and was recognized as Silicon Valley Intellectual Property Law Association Inventor of the Year and IEEE Fellow. Passed away in 2024.
