Mythic

Mythic runs a hardware-centric model: it sells analog compute-in-memory chips as a one-time purchase to OEMs and systems integrators in the industrial, defense, and automotive verticals. The revenue event occurs at the point of chip or module sale, recognized upon delivery to the customer. There is no disclosed subscription or recurring service attached to the chip sale itself. The product is the M1076, an analog AI accelerator designed to run inference workloads at milliwatt power levels, which opens battery-powered and embedded use cases that digital chips cannot serve efficiently. Buyers integrate these chips into their own systems — drones, sensors, vehicle ECUs — and pay a per-unit BOM cost. Because Mythic is a fabless semiconductor company, the chip is manufactured at a foundry, and Mythic captures the margin between its selling price and the unit cost of silicon, packaging, and test. What scales is the design win: once a chip is qualified into a customer's product, volume shipments can ramp with relatively low incremental cost. What is structurally challenging is the analog compute approach itself, which has historically been difficult to yield at scale.
