Bruce Ravenel
Bruce Ravenel is a veteran technologist whose career reaches back to the early days of the microprocessor; he was involved in Intel's 8086 architecture and helped refine final revisions of the 8087 math coprocessor. He later served as Executive Vice President at Liberty Digital. In 2016 he co-founded Hubitat in Scottsdale, Arizona alongside Chuck Schwer, with the goal of building a home-automation hub that runs locally rather than in the cloud for speed, reliability, and privacy. Ravenel serves as Chairman of the self-funded company, which has taken no outside venture capital and positions its Hubitat Elevation hub as the cloud-optional alternative to internet-dependent smart-home platforms.
