Navneet Dalal is a computer-vision researcher and entrepreneur whose academic work on histogram-of-oriented-gradients (HOG) features became foundational in object detection. He was an early employee at Like.com, a visual-search pioneer acquired by Google in 2010, and then co-founded Flutter, a Y Combinator-backed startup building on-device hand-gesture recognition that Google acquired in 2013. At Google Nest he led the algorithms team, working on the first on-device deep-learning model for a Nest camera and contributing to computer-vision features across Nest Cam products. In 2017 he co-founded Matic with Mehul Nariyawala and Shafaq Presswala to build a privacy-first, vision-only autonomous floor-cleaning robot, and he serves as CEO.

Mehul Nariyawala is a product and computer-vision entrepreneur who was an early employee at Like.com, the facial- and visual-recognition startup acquired by Google in 2010. He co-founded Flutter with Navneet Dalal, a gesture-recognition app that topped the Mac App Store in dozens of countries before Google acquired it in 2013. At Google Nest he was lead product manager for Nest Cam, helping conceptualize and launch Nest Cam Outdoor, Nest Cam IQ, and the Nest Hello doorbell along with person- and stranger-detection features. In 2017 he co-founded Matic, where he serves as president, to build a fully autonomous vision-first home-cleaning robot that vacuums and mops in a single pass.

Shafaq Presswala is a co-founder of Matic, the Mountain View startup building a privacy-first, vision-only autonomous robot that vacuums and mops floors in a single pass. Presswala joined Navneet Dalal and Mehul Nariyawala — computer-vision veterans whose prior startup was acquired by Google/Nest — in founding the company in 2017 to take on established robot-vacuum incumbents with a US-designed, camera-based approach to home cleaning.
