Robert Madonna
Robert Madonna, who attended the University of Connecticut, founded Savant Systems in 2005 in Hyannis, Massachusetts, after struggling to find a smart-home system that worked reliably while automating his own apartment and recognizing an opportunity to serve the luxury market. He built Savant into a leading whole-home automation platform that unifies lighting, climate, audio, video, shades, security, and energy management, sold and installed by professional integrators in high-end residences. He also founded the lighting-and-energy venture Racepoint Energy, and under his leadership Savant acquired GE Lighting from General Electric in 2020, expanding the company into mass-market and DIY smart lighting. Madonna serves as Savant's CEO and chairman, having returned to the chief-executive role in 2016.
