Ultraloq

Ultraloq is the smart-lock brand of U-tec, a Fremont, California company that says it introduced one of the first biometric smart locks with a fingerprint scanner in 2016 and grew the line into a crowdfunding success on Indiegogo. Its locks are built around 'multi-method' entry — fingerprint, keypad code, smartphone app, key fob, and physical key — so users can choose how they unlock, and the U-Bolt and Bolt lines added Wi-Fi, Apple home key, and Matter-over-Thread support, with the Bolt Matter Fingerprint Edition marketed as an early Matter-over-Thread lock with a fingerprint reader. U-tec sits within the Xthings portfolio alongside brands such as Anviz and the Ulticam camera line, and serves more than a million North American customers across its connected-home products.
