Ariane 6 is Europe's heavy-lift rocket, built by ArianeGroup and operated by Arianespace in the two-booster Ariane 62 and four-booster Ariane 64 versions. It debuted on July 9, 2024, and Ariane 64 followed on Feb. 12, 2026, with 32 Amazon Leo satellites and a longer fairing. From June 17, 2026, Ariane 64 flew with larger P160C boosters, which raised its Amazon Leo load to 36 satellites and give it about 22 metric tons of capacity to low Earth orbit.
Arianespace sells launch contracts and handles mission integration and launch operations at the Guiana Space Centre for institutional, government and commercial customers, with representatives in Washington, Tokyo, Singapore and French Guiana. On Sept. 10, 2026, it signed seven agreements and memoranda covering about ten launches, including six more Ariane 64 launches for Amazon Leo, two for Eutelsat's OneWeb renewal and a launch of The Exploration Company's Nyx capsule for ESA.
