K2 Space

Karan Kunjur is the co-founder and CEO of K2 Space, which he started in 2022 with his brother Neel. He spent roughly a decade at Boston Consulting Group working on company turnarounds and acquisitions, then became a vice president at the AI startup Text IQ before its 2021 acquisition, and holds an MBA from INSEAD. He brings the commercial and operational side to K2's bet on building large, high-power 'Mega Class' satellite buses designed to take advantage of low-cost heavy-lift launch, complementing his brother's engineering background.

Neel Kunjur is the co-founder and CTO of K2 Space, which he started in 2022 with his brother Karan. He spent about six years at SpaceX developing systems for the Dragon spacecraft that carries cargo and crew to the International Space Station, then spent a couple of years at electric-aircraft company Kitty Hawk before returning to the space industry. He leads the engineering of K2's large, high-power satellite buses, including the flagship Mega Class platform built to deliver far more onboard power and payload volume than conventional spacecraft.
