K2 Space
K2 Space is a Satellites & Earth Observation company founded in 2022 and based in Torrance, United States. It has raised $410M in total funding, most recently a Series C in 2025 at a $3B valuation.
Founded in 2022 by brothers Karan Kunjur (CEO) and Neel Kunjur (CTO), Torrance-based K2 Space designs large, high-power satellite buses intended to fly on Falcon 9, Vulcan, and Ariane 6 across low, medium, and geostationary orbits. Its flagship Mega Class platform targets national-security, communications, and deep-space missions that demand far more power and volume than standard buses, and the first production satellite, GRAVITAS, is slated to launch in March 2026 carrying a 20-kilowatt Hall-effect thruster and high-voltage power systems. In December 2025 K2 raised a $250 million Series C led by Redpoint at a $3 billion valuation, after securing over $500 million in signed commercial and U.S. government contracts.
K2's high-power, low-cost large buses could reset the economics of demanding national-security and communications missions that currently require expensive bespoke spacecraft.
