Eren Ozmen is a Turkish-American businesswoman who emigrated from Turkey to the United States at 22 to pursue an MBA at the University of Nevada, Reno, which she earned in 1985. With her husband Fatih, she acquired Sierra Nevada Corporation in 1994 and built it into a major private aerospace and defense contractor, serving as chairwoman, president, and majority owner. When Sierra Nevada spun out its space division as Sierra Space in 2021, the Ozmens established the new company to pursue the Dream Chaser spaceplane and inflatable space-station habitats, with Eren serving as chairwoman. Forbes has named both Ozmens among America's most successful immigrants.
