Spun out of Sierra Nevada Corporation in 2021 by owners Eren and Fatih Ozmen and headquartered in Louisville, Colorado, Sierra Space develops the Dream Chaser, a reusable lifting-body spaceplane that lands on runways, beginning with cargo resupply to the ISS under a NASA contract. It also builds LIFE, a Large Integrated Flexible Environment inflatable habitat intended for commercial space stations such as Orbital Reef. In March 2026 Sierra Space closed a $550M Series C at an $8B valuation led by LuminArx Capital Management.
Sierra Space pairs a runway-landing reusable spaceplane with inflatable habitat technology, positioning it as a full-stack supplier for the commercial low-Earth-orbit economy after the ISS.
