Turion Space is a Space Situational Awareness & Data company founded in 2021 and based in Irvine, United States. It has raised $80M in total funding, most recently a Series B in 2026.
Founded in 2021 in Irvine, California by veterans of SpaceX, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing, Turion Space builds maneuverable Droid spacecraft for on-orbit imaging, inspection, and space domain awareness. Its first two satellites, Droid.001 (launched 2023) and Droid.002, are described as operational successes that have delivered over 40,000 images. Turion holds NOAA licensing as the first U.S. commercial provider of resolved non-Earth imaging. The company raised a ~$20M Series A in late 2024 and a $75M+ Series B in April 2026 led by Washington Harbour Partners, funding expansion of its fleet and production toward dozens of vehicles per year.
Turion is one of the few commercial providers of resolved non-Earth imaging, supplying the close-up orbital pictures that governments and operators need to characterize and track other spacecraft.
