Dyno Therapeutics

Dyno Therapeutics, based in Watertown, Massachusetts, applies machine learning to the challenge of in vivo gene delivery, engineering adeno-associated virus (AAV) capsids optimized for targeting, liver detargeting, cross-species translatability, and manufacturability. The technology was developed by CEO and co-founder Eric Kelsic and colleagues in George Church's lab at Harvard's Wyss Institute, and the company was founded with co-founders including George Church, Adrian Veres, Alan Crane, Sam Sinai, and Tomas Bjorklund. Dyno raised a $100 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz and has struck capsid-licensing partnerships with Novartis, Sarepta, Roche, Spark, and Astellas, with Roche and Astellas having exercised licenses on AI-designed capsids.
