Its Generate platform applies generative AI, including the Chroma protein-diffusion model, to design entirely new protein-based therapeutics across antibodies and other modalities, running a generate-build-measure-learn loop to discover candidates faster. The company raised more than $800 million privately, including a $273 million Series C in 2023, and in February 2026 it completed a Nasdaq IPO at $16 per share for roughly $400 million in gross proceeds, trading under the ticker GENB; its lead program GB-0895 targets TSLP for severe asthma.
It is one of the first generative-biology drug developers to reach the public markets, testing whether AI-designed protein therapeutics translate into clinical and financial returns.
