Jordan Dearsley
Jordan Dearsley studied Software Engineering at the University of Waterloo before dropping out to join Y Combinator's W21 cohort with co-founder Nikhil Gupta. Together they built Superpowered, an AI meeting-note-taker, before pivoting to found Vapi. Dearsley also built Confident AI, an open-source LLM evaluation platform, and held engineering roles at Asana and Wealthsimple. He co-founded Vapi in 2023, going through YC W24; the company is a voice AI infrastructure platform that enables developers to deploy production voice agents in minutes. Vapi hit a $500 million valuation in May 2026 after winning Amazon Ring over 40 competitors.
