Wispr Flow
Wispr (maker of Flow) is a San Francisco company founded in 2021 by ex-Apple and Meta engineers Tanay Kothari and Sahaj Garg. Its product, Flow, is an AI dictation layer that works system-wide across desktop and mobile: it transcribes naturally spoken language while auto-removing filler words and fixing errors, learns a personal dictionary, supports 100+ languages, and inserts reusable voice 'snippets' — positioning voice as a primary input method the company says is roughly 4x faster than typing. Wispr has raised about $81M (most recently a $25M Series A led by Notable Capital in November 2025) and is building toward a 'voice-native computing system,' with reports in 2026 of a new round valuing it near $2B.
Wispr Flow is the breakout consumer-and-prosumer bet on voice as a primary input modality — dictation that works in every app — an angle distinct from the call-center and agent-platform players that dominate the rest of voice AI.
