Apollo Neuro (Apollo Neuroscience) was founded in 2017 in Pittsburgh by Kathryn Fantauzzi and neuroscientist-psychiatrist David Rabin, building on Rabin's research at the University of Pittsburgh. Its wearable delivers gentle, soundless vibrations to the wrist or ankle that the company says influence heart-rate variability and help the nervous system move from 'fight or flight' toward 'rest and digest,' with app-selectable modes for stress, sleep, focus, and recovery. The company has said its technology has been studied across thousands of research subjects in multiple clinical studies. It raised a $15M Series A in March 2022 (following a 2020 seed round) and reports roughly $30M+ raised to date.
