Compass is an ambient AI wearable pendant created by Field Labs Inc., founded by Lithuanian developer Martynas Krupskis, who prototyped the device at the Founders Inc. hackerspace in San Francisco and went viral on social media in 2024. The $99 Bluetooth necklace transcribes conversations into searchable text in over 100 languages, generates summaries and action items, and creates reminders — capturing only text, not stored audio, with end-to-end encryption — backed by a monthly subscription. A free trial gives a limited number of transcription hours before paid tiers unlock unlimited use. The product has since been rebranded under the 'Fieldy' name (now selling a Fieldy 3 device), and the companion app ships as Fieldy.
