The strategic story is bigger than the quarter: at ADA 2026, DexCom presented one-year registry data showing G7 significantly improved A1C in type 2 diabetics not on insulin — the clinical foundation for payer coverage of the largest untapped CGM population — and days earlier announced the acquisition of Nutrisense, bolting a dietitian-coaching and nutrition layer onto Stelo, its OTC sensor, to convert episodic wellness users into an enduring metabolic-health platform. That platform strategy matters because it compounds: CMS-reimbursed core diabetes business funds the consumer flywheel, Stelo plus Nutrisense builds the cash-pay franchise, and the automated-insulin-delivery ecosystem (Omnipod 5, Tandem) locks in the intensive-insulin base. The feared GLP-1 headwind has inverted — users on GLP-1s adopt CGM to track metabolic improvement, and earlier-stage intervention grows the funnel.
