It carries no FDA clearance and sells as a wellness product, which caps claims, reimbursement, and defensibility simultaneously; there is at least one FDA MAUDE adverse-event report on file, and the 2026 web is littered with advertorial "review" content of the sort that has drawn regulatory attention to other Kilo Health-ecosystem brands. The financial scale is hobbyist: roughly €2.4M in disclosed lifetime funding and a €20M valuation mean the company cannot fund real clinical programs, and the defense pivot — resilience wearables for soldiers — is a press release, not a procurement contract; no military purchase has been announced. Competition requires no invention: the hardware is simple electrodes and a Bluetooth controller, freely clonable from Shenzhen at half the price, while better-capitalized calming-wearable rivals (Apollo Neuro) and clinical incumbents (electroCore, moving consumer-ward with its Truvaga line) squeeze from both ends. If the EU trial reads out weak or merely ambiguous, the entire premise — clinical modality at consumer price — collapses into another vibrating wellness gadget with a subscription app. The likeliest outcome is neither defense contracts nor category ownership but the standard DTC-wellness arc: a growth spike, rising ad costs, churn, and quiet irrelevance.
