Signos is a software layer on someone else's sensor, sold through someone else's channel, in a category whose scientific premise for non-diabetics remains contested. The Dexcom relationship that powers the bull case is the central risk: Dexcom is supplier, investor, and now storefront, and its Stelo platform ships with its own app and its own ambitions — if glucose-guided weight coaching proves valuable, the sensor owner can absorb the feature, while Abbott's Lingo runs the identical integrated play from the other side of the CGM duopoly. Everything Signos charges for sits one product decision away from being bundled free with the hardware. The consumer-metabolic field it actually competes in is a war of attrition — Levels, Nutrisense, and January AI have fought over the same biohacker-adjacent demographic for years with high churn and rising acquisition costs — and the clinical literature still questions how much actionable signal glucose excursions carry for people without dysglycemia, an evidentiary soft spot for a product whose entire pitch is glucose causality.
