Monad Labs

Keone Hon spent roughly eight years at the proprietary trading firm Jump Trading, where he built low-latency, high-frequency trading systems. In 2021 he became a quantitative developer at Jump Crypto, the firm's Web3 division, leading a team building DeFi applications and infrastructure. He co-founded Monad Labs in 2022 with former Jump colleague James Hunsaker to build Monad, a parallel-execution, fully EVM-compatible Layer 1, and serves as CEO. Under his leadership Monad raised a $225 million round led by Paradigm and launched its mainnet in November 2025.

James Hunsaker began his career in finance, working at Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan before joining Jump Trading as a senior software engineer, where he spent about eight years building high-performance trading systems and later worked at Jump Crypto. He co-founded Monad Labs in 2022 with Keone Hon and serves as CTO, leading the engineering behind Monad's performance-focused execution stack — including its optimistic parallel execution, the MonadDB state database, and pipelined MonadBFT consensus.

Eunice Giarta is a co-founder of Monad Labs and serves as the company's chief operating officer. She joined Keone Hon and James Hunsaker in founding the company in 2022 to build Monad, a fully EVM-compatible Layer 1 re-engineered for high throughput through parallel execution. As COO she leads the company's operations as it grew through a $225 million Paradigm-led round and its November 2025 mainnet launch.
