Morpho (Morpho Labs)

Paul Frambot studied at Télécom Paris and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, where he was pursuing a Master's in parallel and distributed systems when he began work on Morpho. The project grew out of conversations with CNRS researcher Vincent Danos around making on-chain lending more efficient, and Frambot co-founded Morpho Labs in 2021 while still a student. He has led the company as CEO through the launch of the Morpho Blue lending primitive and curator-run vaults, and raised from investors including a16z crypto, Variant, Ribbit Capital, and Paradigm. Under his leadership Morpho became widely used lending infrastructure, notably powering Coinbase's crypto-backed loan product.

Merlin Egalite co-founded Morpho Labs in 2021 alongside Paul Frambot to build more capital-efficient on-chain lending. He holds a degree in computer science from CentraleSupélec, one of France's most selective engineering grandes écoles. At Morpho he has worked on the protocol's core engineering and product, helping take it from an optimization layer over existing lending markets to the permissionless Morpho Blue primitive and vault system used by institutions including Coinbase and Kraken.

Mathis Gontier Delaunay co-founded Morpho Labs in 2021 and has served as Head of Protocol, focused on the design of its lending markets. He earned an engineering degree from Télécom SudParis and a Master's in parallel and distributed systems from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, the same program where co-founder Paul Frambot was studying when the company was conceived. His work centers on the protocol research and risk architecture behind Morpho's isolated, permissionless lending markets.
