Evan Cheng
Evan Cheng spent roughly a decade at Apple as a senior manager for low-level tools, where he was a central contributor to the LLVM compiler infrastructure and a co-recipient of the 2012 ACM Software System Award for that work. He later joined Meta (Facebook), where he directed the Novi research team and was a key engineer on the Diem (formerly Libra) blockchain and the Move programming language. After Meta wound down its crypto efforts, he co-founded Mysten Labs in 2021 with several former Diem colleagues to build Sui, an object-centric Layer 1 written in Move, and serves as the company's CEO.
