Mosa Meat grows real beef from a small sample of cells taken from a cow, multiplying muscle and fat cells in bioreactors to produce meat without raising or slaughtering animals. The company developed a growth medium free of fetal bovine serum to cut costs and improve sustainability, and operates bioreactors up to 1,000-litre scale at its Maastricht facility.
