Apptronik is a Humanoid company founded in 2016 and based in Austin, United States. It has raised $963M in total funding, most recently a Series A Extension in 2026 at a $5.5B valuation.
Apptronik is an Austin, Texas-based humanoid robotics company spun out of the Human Centered Robotics Lab at the University of Texas at Austin in 2016. Its current flagship, Apollo 2, is offered in bipedal and wheeled configurations for logistics, manufacturing, and 3PL work.
The company has commercial programs with Mercedes-Benz, GXO Logistics, and Jabil. In June 2026 Apptronik opened Robot Park, a nearly 90,000-square-foot Austin facility where Apollo 2 robots perform material movement and machine-tending tasks while generating real-world data for Google DeepMind's Gemini Robotics models. Apptronik says Apollo 3 is its next platform.
Apptronik raised a $350M initial Series A in February 2025, followed by a $520M extension in February 2026. The company said the combined Series A exceeded $935M and that it employed more than 350 people when Robot Park opened.
Apptronik is a leading US commercial-humanoid contender, combining industrial deployments, an in-house operating facility, and a Google DeepMind foundation-model partnership.
