NEURA Robotics

NEURA Robotics was founded in 2019 in Metzingen, Germany by David Reger to build 'cognitive' robots - industrial and humanoid machines with native AI perception, manipulation, and human-interaction capabilities. Its MAiRA cobot is marketed as one of the first cognitive collaborative robot arms, and its 4NE-1 humanoid (1.8m, 80kg, 15kg payload) is the company's flagship general-purpose platform, unveiled in July 2024 and targeted at industrial deployment. In January 2025 NEURA closed a EUR120M (~$123M) Series B led by Lingotto Investment Management with BlueCrest, Volvo Cars Tech Fund, InterAlpen Partners, Vsquared Ventures, HV Capital, and Delta Electronics. The company has reported a EUR1B order book, roughly 10x revenue growth, and more than 300 employees following the round. Subsequent 2025 reporting indicated discussions with Tether for a potential EUR1B follow-on.
The best-funded European humanoid pure-play, and one of very few humanoid companies founded inside Europe's industrial automation heartland rather than in Silicon Valley or China.
