Holds a Master of Science in Product Design Strategies & Digital Prototyping from University of Teesside (2005-2006), with prior experience at Mothercare and as a freelance industrial designer. A designer based in Shanghai, he provided product design skills as the third co-founder when Brilliant Labs was founded in 2019. Now serves as Head of Design, bringing a focus on hardware development fundamentals—his public commentary emphasizes design decisions like part-seam placement and the interplay between materials and lighting in physical products.

Studied at George Washington and Georgetown universities before completing a graduate degree at Cambridge University, where he earned an M.Phil in Finance. Previously founded several companies in computer vision and graph search before joining Apple as a Program Lead, where he led design and development of a supply chain technology platform. Also held roles at Infograf and Microsoft. Founded Brilliant Labs in 2019 in Hong Kong, initially launching the Monocle AR device before developing Frame. His entrepreneurial work centers on a consistent theme: creating better ways for people to find and utilize information based on the context of where they are and what's around them.

Holds an MSc in Embedded Systems & Wireless Networks from University of the West of England (2013-2014) and specializes in low power processors, sensing and RF. Prior experience includes roles at Silicon Witchery, Fantom, Silicon Labs, and Bristol Robotics Lab. Contributed experience from a previous wearable computer startup when co-founding Brilliant Labs in 2019. Served as head engineer based in Stockholm, leading the technical architecture for the Monocle and Frame devices. Emphasizes an open-source approach to prevent monopolization, drawing from past incidents where promising AR technologies were acquired and discontinued.
