Lucyd

Earned a doctorate in biomechanics and ergonomics from New York University and an MBA from Oxford. Served as Acting Director of the graduate program in Biomechanics and Ergonomics at NYU and Chairman of the Biomechanics Department at New York Institute of Technology before transitioning to technology commercialization. Founded three companies that subsequently listed—Biomechanics Corp., UTEK, and Tekcapital—UTEK operated as a technology transfer firm from 1997 to 2009. Lucyd was founded by Tekcapital, a global IP investment firm sourcing technology from over 4,500 universities in 160 countries. His academic grounding in ergonomics directly informs Lucyd's focus on optical hardware that users can comfortably wear all day rather than tech-first form factors.

Co-founder and CTO since September 2019, bringing digital-product expertise to hardware. Spent a decade as President of Emaze Design Agency, leading development of e-commerce, web performance monitoring, and mobile applications, and earlier worked as lead Business Intelligence Specialist at Jewish General Hospital. Served as CTO of Lucyd Ltd. (2017–2019), leading technological advancements and digital ad campaigns before founding Innovative Eyewear. The agency background informs Lucyd's go-to-market emphasis: he led both tech development and digital ad campaigns at the predecessor entity, reflecting the company's dual bet on product engineering and direct-to-consumer storytelling.

Graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Writing and received a BA in Jewish Studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary, then spent 2013–2014 as a credit analyst for a Verizon contractor before pivoting to tech. From November 2015 to August 2021, served as Digital Media Manager of Tekcapital PLC, a university intellectual property investment firm, where he helped build Lucyd on IP from research universities—specifically 13 optical technology patents licensed from the University of Central Florida's optics lab. From August 2017 to August 2019, served as CEO and Media & UX Lead at Lucyd Ltd., developing the brand identity and overseeing product development, before founding Innovative Eyewear in August 2019. Ran the initial Lucyd crowdfund, the #56th most successful of all time, based on dollars raised. Named inventor of most of the Company's patents, with background in tech marketing and app development.

**Note: As of November 2025, transitioned from Co-CFO to Chief AI and Growth Officer.** Co-founded Innovative Eyewear (Lucyd) in 2019 and served as CFO on a part-time basis, while simultaneously holding CFO and investment-strategy roles at Tekcapital PLC, a tech IP holding company, from 2017. Previously served as Audit Manager at Deloitte, managing end-to-end accounting audits for public and private clients, followed by a stint as Global Accounting Manager at Restaurant Brands International overseeing EMEA accounting and tax for Burger King. Holds a Master's in Finance and Banking from Warsaw School of Economics and is a CPA. His portfolio-company finance experience at Tekcapital positioned him to juggle dual executive roles across early-stage ventures.
