Addition was launched in 2020 by Lee Fixel, the former head of Tiger Global's private-investing business known for Flipkart and Peloton, and raised a $1.3 billion debut fund with four more following in quick succession — roughly $7 billion raised in under four years. The New York firm invests across early and growth stages, keeps a deliberately low public profile, and centralizes decision-making with Fixel.
