First Round Capital was founded in 2004 by Josh Kopelman and Howard Morgan to focus exclusively on the earliest institutional rounds. The firm led Uber's 2010 seed round as its first institutional investor and has since backed more than 500 startups across AI, consumer, enterprise software, fintech, hardware and healthcare. It operates from offices in San Francisco, New York and Philadelphia and is known for its founder-community products such as the First Round Review.
