SV Angel was founded in 2009 by Ron Conway, the 'Godfather of Silicon Valley,' formalizing an angel practice whose bets span Google, Twitter, Airbnb, Stripe and Coinbase. The firm remains family-run — sons Topher and Ronny are Managing Partners — and added a growth fund led by Ashvin Bachireddy in 2022, with recent positions in AI labs including OpenAI and Anthropic.
