Founded in 2006 by Skype co-founder Niklas Zennström, Atomico backs European founders from Series A through pre-IPO. In September 2024 it closed $1.24 billion across two vehicles — Atomico Venture VI ($485M) and Atomico Growth VI ($754M) — its largest fundraise to date. The firm has made over 155 investments across 15 European countries, and separated its venture and growth teams with the current fund generation.
