Salesforce Ventures, founded in 2009 under Salesforce corporate-development chief John Somorjai, has invested more than $5 billion in over 600 enterprise software companies from seed to IPO. Its generative-AI fund, launched in 2023 and expanded to $1 billion, made it an early corporate backer of Anthropic, Cohere, Mistral AI, Hugging Face and Together AI, alongside longstanding positions in Databricks and Snowflake.
