Bessemer traces its roots to Henry Phipps's 1911 family office and evolved into a global venture firm investing from seed through growth. It built one of the earliest dedicated cloud-computing practices and has backed more than 120 companies through IPO, including Shopify, Twilio, LinkedIn and Pinterest. The firm operates from offices across the US, Europe, Israel and India and reports roughly $19 billion in assets under management.
