Sequoia Capital
The defining Silicon Valley venture firm — seed to IPO across five decades of category winners.
Founded by Don Valentine in 1972, Sequoia has backed companies that now make up a meaningful share of public-market tech value — Apple, Google, Cisco, Airbnb, Stripe and NVIDIA among them. The firm restructured in 2021 around the open-ended Sequoia Capital Fund and split its China (HongShan) and India/SEA (Peak XV) arms into independent firms in 2023, refocusing the partnership on the US and Europe.
